Project Caspian Horse (initial statement)
Description:
The Caspian Horse project is a mid-term project to standardize two
scripting languages, g-script and b-script, through an international
collaboration. The proposed standards are open source and
not-for-profit. All collaborations for the establishment of the
proposed standards are also not-for-profit. The g-script &
b-script was originally introduced in Globe Server and Globe
Client papers, respectively (see our Appetizer
series).
Duration:
The project was announce on December 31, 2004. The estimated
duration of the project total phases should not exceed 18 months.
Timeline:
This project has two main periods. In the first period, we develop a
complete instance of g- & b-script for financial systems along
with its g-server and g-client implementations. ATG takes over this
period completely without any international contribution. Afterward,
the fact-sheets of the first period are published to inspire
developments in the second period. In this period, we collaborate
with the legal or real persons who are interested to standardize
these script languages. The following is the detailed timeline of
the proposed periods: January-March 2005: Planning the
roadmap of the project. April-September 2005: Running the
first period of the project. October-December 2005:
Selecting international contributors for the second period of the
project. January-June 2006: Running the second period of
the project.
